Buy Drum Set Sticks Online in Kathmandu, Nepal

Drumsticks are an essential tool for any drummer. While they can create beautiful tones with a cymbal and sensitive sounds with a snare, they are highly personal choices.

Bass and Treble's extensive selection of drum set sticks results from our belief that they are necessary for every drummer. Purchasing drumsticks online from our website is the perfect way to get your dream set at a reasonable price. We offer Meinl drumsticks and drum brushes and Promark drumsticks by D'addario.

In today's marketplace, there are many options to choose from, and it can be difficult to find the right one. If you have any questions or need advice on buying high-quality drum set sticks and drum brushes don't hesitate to contact Bass and Treble.

Types of Drum Set Sticks

Each drumstick manufacturer uses a number and a letter to classify their sticks. There is a relationship between the number and the diameter of the stick. In comparison, the letter describes the overall size and suggested applications.

  1. A-style drumstick: Classical music and jazz are suitable applications for A-style sticks since they are lighter in weight and are designed for low-volume performance.
  2. B-sticks: These heavy drumsticks work well with various playing styles but are most commonly associated with rock music.
  3. S sticks: S-style drumsticks have an even greater weight than B sticks, making them perfect for marching bands and other high-volume applications.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which drumsticks are best for beginners?

A hickory 5A pair will be your best bet. Most commonly, 5A drum set sticks are recommended as a good "starting point" for drumsticks of reasonable size, medium weight, and thickness. A wide range of musical styles can be played with 5A sticks.

What are drum brushes?

A drum brush is an instrument with bristles attached to the end of a stick; they are used to soften the beat of the drums. Metal wire brushes can be an excellent option in jazz or other genres where your volume needs to be limited.

The handles of drum brushes are made of rubber or plastic and have retractable metal bristles. Retractable brushes allow you to produce different sounds by adjusting the length and stiffness of your beater. A drum brush can be made from wood, nylon bristles, or wire of various gauges.

Do I need to use drumsticks of a particular size?

It is imperative to note that every drummer has a preference for drumsticks. Depending on the genre and level of musicians, it varies greatly.

A 5A is suitable for beginners since they're suited for playing all types of music, including rock and jazz. More intermediate drummers benefit from heavier drum set sticks like the 5B, ideal for rock, funk, and metal genres.

Drummers who are advanced often become selective about which sticks they use. They tend to use very professional heavy drumsticks, like the 2B, or very thin sticks, the 7A or 8D.

Various sizes and styles of drumsticks are available in Bass and Treble. We recommend you try a few to find out which is right for you.

What is the importance of the drumstick's size?

You will notice the greatest difference in sound and feel between drumsticks based on their weight and length. Sticks that are thicker and heavier provide more volume and durability and are more suitable for playing with a lot of projection. In situations where finesse is needed, like in a small ensemble, thin, light sticks are easier to handle.
